Here’s a new way to do a bagel. Make your own version of a creamy pull-apart with Mainland Grated Mozzarella in these Garlic Bread Stuffed Bagels.

Ingredients

  • 4 bagels (unsliced)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 cup Mainland grated mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons of Mainland butter
  • 1.5 cup of Mainland grated mozzarella cheese

Oil Mix

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon very finely chopped parsley 

 

  1. In a bowl put the 2 teaspoons of minced garlic and cream cheese and mix until combined. Then add in the Mainland Mozzarella and mix until fully incorporated.
  2. Make six cuts across each bagel (from the top down) being careful not to slice all the way through.
  3. Gently open up each cut and place a teaspoon of the mozzarella mixture inside. Repeat this for each cut, then set onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. 
  4. When ready to bake, in a small bowl combine the remaining minced garlic, olive oil and parsley, a pinch of salt n pepper, mix until fully combined, then brush generously onto of each bagel and bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the bagels are toasted, golden and the cheese in melting and gooey.
  5. Remove, allow to cool for a minute then tear up and tuck in.
